About the Author

S.E. Deacs lives in the United Kingdom with her two children and two lively dogs. Her journey into the world of competitive swimming began when her youngest daughter joined a swim club, sparking countless hours spent at training sessions, open meets, and team competitions. Seeing the resilience, confidence, and friendships that swimming nurtures, she found the inspiration for Gwen Rivers.

"The First Swim Meet" is the debut book in a growing series that follows Gwen’s adventures in and out of the pool, soon joined by "Fractions, Tumble Turns & Other Nightmares".

Running alongside Gwen’s stories is a companion series featuring her friend Owen Park, beginning with "Hold the Line" and "The Case of the Christmas Cup."
