About the Author

S.E. Deacs lives in the United Kingdom with her two children and two lively dogs. Her journey into the world of competitive swimming began when her youngest daughter joined a swim club, sparking countless hours spent at training sessions, open meets, and team competitions. A qualified judge, team manager and club chair person, she has a behind the scenes view of Club swimming.  Seeing the resilience, confidence, and friendships that swimming nurtures, she found the inspiration for the Willowbank Swimming Series.

"The First Swim Meet" was the debut book in a growing series that follows Gwen’s adventures in and out of the pool, followed by "Fractions, Tumble Turns & Other Nightmares", and most recently "Chasing the Hoodie"

Running alongside Gwen’s stories is a companion series featuring her friend Owen Park, beginning with "Hold the Line" and "The Case of the Christmas Cup."
